Firehouse is committed to providing the very best veterinary care experience.
Our Story
We’re pet lovers. And we know you are, too. That’s why our goal is to reshape your experience at the vet.
You should enjoy the visit. And your pet should feel calm and happy with us.
We’ve always said there isn’t one thing we do that’s dramatically different. It’s the 100 little things we do every day to make the whole experience better.
We also gift medical care to pets in need. Our team has helped thousands of dogs and cats become healthy enough for adoption. We celebrate animals who find their forever family.
We’re proud of our team and the culture we’ve built: one that delivers the best experience for you, your pet, and our community.
Our name
Firehouse Animal Health Centers took its name from the 100-year-old neighborhood fire station in which the very first Firehouse opened. Since 2012, Austin-based Firehouse has cultivated an experience that feels like a neighborhood firehouse — safe, reliable, friendly, and passionate about the needs of its community.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide comprehensive care, unparalleled service, and a collaborative experience to the people and pets of Central Texas.
Our Values
These are the guiding principles that dictate the behavior of all team members, internally held and valued:
Build Trust • Exceed Expectations • Collaborate Effectively • Show Compassion • Foster Education
We focus on the little things
Every day we do at least 100 things to provide our clients and community with the best possible veterinary experience.
We’re committed to JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion)
Our Company JEDI commitment Statement is: Firehouse is committed to ensuring a culture of equity and inclusion because we know that a diverse workplace is vital to providing the best care for clients and their pets. Our team is at our best when we embrace our individual identities, collaborate, and invest in each other.
Our team is passionate about giving back
We believe in giving back to the Austin community we serve and call home. We donate medical care to pets in need so they’re ready for adoption. We also partner with local nonprofits and schools.
